1. Sagarmala Project
Vision of the Sagarmala Programme is to reduce logistics cost for EXIM and domestic trade with minimal infrastructure investment. This includes:
This Programme Reduce the cost of domestic cargo through optimizing modal mix .Lowering logistics cost of bulk commodities by locating future industrial capacities near the coast Optimizing time/cost of EXIM container movement . As part of Sagarmala Programme, more than 610 projects (Cost: Rs. 7.78 Lacs Cr.) have been identified for implementation, during 2015-2035, across the areas of port modernization & new port development, port connectivity enhancement, port-linked industrialization and coastal community development. As of 31-July-2019, a total of 542 projects (costing around Rs. 4.75 Lac Crore) were under various stages of implementation, development and completion.
2. Highest Bridge of the World on River Chenab
Key technical data of the bridge include:
Deck height (height above river): 359 m (1,178 ft)
Bridge length: 1,315 m (4,314 ft), including the 650 m (2,130ft) long viaduct on the northern side
Arch span: 467 m (1,532 ft)
Arch length: 480 m (1,570 ft)
This makes the Chenab Bridge:
The world's highest railway bridge. The bridge with the widest span in the Indian broad gauge railway network
3. Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Shivaji Memorial
The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) is a 22km-long sea bridge being developed over the Mumbai Harbour in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Maharashtra, India. When completed, the MTHL will become the longest sea link in India.The MTHL project will provide a critical link between the two urban areas and quick access to the southern part of Navi Mumbai. It will also foster the growth and socio-economic development of the mainland and its surrounding areas.The Foundation stone for the MTHL project was laid in December 2014, marking the beginning of the bridge construction, while completion is scheduled for 2021-2022.
Accordingly, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has undertaken the implementation of the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Project, connecting Sewri on Mumbai side to Chirle on Navi Mumbai side. This important link having length of about 21.8 Km is being implemented considering the importance of connectivity between the island city and the mainland. On completion of this project, the commuters traveling from Mumbai towards Navi Mumbai, Navi Mumbai International Airport, Jawaharlal Nehru Port, Panvel, Alibaug, Pune and Goa will not only be saving travel time but will also save in terms of fuel. This will also help alleviate the traffic congestion in the island city and facilitate development of Navi Mumbai area.
4. Chardham-Highway Project
The Char Dham (meaning: four abodes) is a set of four pilgrimage sites in India. It is believed that visiting these sites helps achieve moksha (salvation). The four Dhams are, Badrinath, Dwaraka, Puri and Rameswaram. In a meeting to review the preparations for the forthcoming Char Dham Yatra, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat directed officials to ensure that all preparations — including roads, infrastructure and medical facilities — are completed before April 30.
Development The total cost of ₹12,000 crores and the foundation stone of the project was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 27 December 2016 at Parade Ground in Dehradun.
5. Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor
Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor is an under-construction high-speed rail line connecting India's economic hub Mumbai with the city of Ahmedabad. When completed, it will be India's first high-speed rail line.
Construction was expected to begin by April 2020, and the project was expected to be completed by December 2023.Due to delays acquiring land, the completion date has been pushed back to December 2028. As of July 2020, 60% of required land has been acquired and the rest is "almost on the verge of completion", civil works tenders covering 68% corridor (345 km out of 508 km, of 245 km 77% land in Gujarat, 80% in Dadra & Nagar Haveli and 22% in Maharashtra) and a separate tender for 28 steel bridges have been allocated, remaining tendering process is under way.
